Planning Your Wardrobe:

that’s why I am here to help you narrow down your choices, OR create some more fabulous ones!
I really like color & accessories, just maintain the patterns to a minimum. This goes to your kids too. If you or they’re uncomfortable in their clothing, it is going to show in the photos. Pick clothes for everyone in the exact same color palette (see optimum palettes under…). The objective is that you guys to look great, but we need the focus to be on you, not your clothes. The drapes should blend together and blend somewhat into the background. If you would like to bring two outfits for everybody, bring two. And if you have small kids, we understand how they like to get dirty, so bring some backups. But regardless of what you wear, be confident that I will make you look fantastic…
it is my job.

The main principle is to BE COMFORTABLE! However, more importantly, make sure you! I will make art that’ll hang on your walls for years and I want your family to look like themselves. This goes to your children too. In the event that you or they’re uncomfortable in their clothes, it will show in the photographs.

I love color and accessories, just maintain the patterns into a minimum;–RRB- Try to have just 1 patterned ensemble for every 3 people for household shoots. Then dress everyone else with color coordinating appears.
Attempt to coordinate outfits without looking overly”matchy”. Avoid wearing the same colors and rather, find a color palette that you adore and piece together items from this palette which are complementary to one another (see examples above to help get you started!).

Ladies – Lahaina family photographers are your very best bet for EVERYTHING. They’re literally flattering on everyone! Plus they move so beautifully! If…maxi dress it out;–RRB- but bear in mind…shores tend to be windy! So those cute dresses, shirts & skirts with the multilayers and ruffles, will not work well on the shore. These layers will induce you crazy because you attempt to make them remain still & horizontal (plus they are distracting to the eye). So keep it simple…

I like my sessions to be fun and have an element of liberty, so please dress your children in clothes you do not mind them playing. *Do not forget to bring a change of clothes or copy shirt/bottoms to get littles ones & a towel – sand, dirt & coastline fun are inevitable!

No visible logos or branding on the clothes itself. For anyone under two years old, steer clear of collared tops and tops, as they tend to create the little ones seem a good deal older. Attempt onesies for boys and sweet little dresses for girls…

Generally speaking, shoes are not necessary for any of the sessions. You can bring conventional rubber sandals for walking to/from our location or for walking on any rocks/stones.
